Digital identity for corporate filings
VNeID compliance means establishing and maintaining the company's organizational electronic-identification account so that the legal representative or authorized person can authenticate and submit corporate filings online.
From 1 January 2026, online enterprise-registration filings generally use VNeID-based electronic identification rather than the former business-registration login accounts. The identity of both the authorizing person and the person submitting the application must be electronically authenticated where applicable.
Practical setup
- The legal representative obtains and activates a personal Level 2 VNeID account.
- In the VNeID application, select Organizational Identification and register the company.
- Enter the company's enterprise and tax information.
- Link the organization's e-identification with the authorized filing person or the National Business Registration Portal.
- Keep authorization records current when the legal representative or filing representative changes.
- Test access to the business-registration portal and retain submission receipts and electronic results.
The National Business Registration Portal provides a VNeID login route using the individual identification number, password, or QR-code authentication through the VNeID application.

VNeID: Maintain the company's organizational digital identity and authorized-user access for electronic business registration, licensing, tax, customs, and other corporate filings.
The company should promptly update its VNeID and portal authorization details after a change in legal representative or authorized signatory. Decree 69/2024/ND-CP has made electronic identification central to access to government digital services for businesses, including FDI enterprises.
